Welcome, I’m Jerry (she/her). Therapeutic Counsellor.

I believe context is everything in mental health. Starting with your lived experience and the impact that has on your wellbeing, but also the intergenerational traumas, cultural stories, histories of who and where we are, and what’s happened in the past that carries on into the present. All of this affects your heart. Especially as a sensitive person. You feel these stories in your bones.

So when you experience grief, heartbreak, depression, anxiety, burnout, body image concerns or difficult family dynamics, you’re also carrying layers of the past. Which can make these experiences extra sticky and hard to recover from.

I believe it’s important to bring awareness of the broader context of how our history, society, family and culture set up specific beliefs, stories and responses that aren’t actually yours. When we peel back those layers, it’s easier to identify and work towards what is in your power to change.

In short, if you’re looking for an affordable, anti-colonial, justice-oriented, somatic and trauma-informed therapist, who is also intuitive and a bit witchy, you’re in the right place.

I offer long term work which really allows the work to be relational and in depth.
