Hi, I’m Jerry Souter
PACFA Certified Practising Counsellor.
The therapy I offer is depth-oriented and relational, integrating attachment, trauma and somatic approaches. I apply a holistic approach, including mind, body and spiritual dimensions.
I support individuals navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and complex PTSD, and couples who feel stuck in patterns that aren’t working anymore.
My Approach
Research suggests the relationship we build together is at the heart of effective therapy. To support this, I commit to:
Creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can bring your whole self, including thoughts and feelings that are difficult to share.
Observing and reflecting on patterns in our interactions which often mirror how you relate to others in your life.
Acknowledging the influence of your past relationships and experiences on how you connect, communicate, and respond today.
Using the therapeutic relationship as a space to experiment with new ways of relating so insights in therapy can translate into lasting change outside the room
My Professional Background
Since 2017, I have worked in various sectors including domestic and sexual violence, relationship education, and community mental health and advocacy.
I came to this work through my own in-depth psychotherapy and ongoing professional training and development.
I continue to engage in regular professional development, supervision, as well as my own therapy.

I know how hard it can be to find a therapist.
I’m happy to hop on a call and talk through what you’re hoping to find in therapy. Finding the right therapist really matters, and I’m here to help you find someone who feels like a great fit, even if it isn’t me.
